One of the best things about blogging is connecting with classes from all around the world. In 2011 we learnt about life in Singapore through our Flat Stanley project. In 2012 we made board games and wrote instructions for Room 2 in England and hosted Snail and Whale from New Zealand.
In 2012 we also participated in ‘Quad Blogging.’ The idea of Quad Blogging came from David Mitchell, the deputy head teacher of Heathfield Primary School. Four classes spend four weeks learning about different countries and cultures from around the world by writing posts, reading posts and leaving comments. Classes take it in turns to have their blog in the spotlight for a week. During that time, the other three classes visit and leave comments. Our ‘Quad Blogging’ focus was ‘Favourites’ and each class posted about their favourite things.
We Quad Blogged with Mrs Monaghan and Room 2 in England, Stephen and Room 3 in New Zealand and Mrs Todd and the Roadrunners in America.
